Imua is Hawaiian for move forward. I was in the store the other day and ran into my Hawaiian friend and she said this to me. It touched me and immediately I said I would write about it tomorrow in my blog. I looked it up and it means to move forward toward a goal! This is wonderful because we are continually putting one foot in front of the other. Once we look back at all the steps, we can see how we achieved our goal. Sometimes looking at the goal from the first step can feel like a mountain to conquer, but if we take a look down at our feet we can see how each step gets us there. Let’s take a look down today on our mat and see our feet and come into the present moment. This will get us “there.” Each step in the present will get us to our goal in the future.
