Early Bird Gets The Worm

“The early bird catcheth the worm.” John Ray wrote this phrase back in 1678 and it still rings true for many to this day. This morning, as I was looking out on my front porch I saw a birdie with a big, juicy worm hanging from his mouth. Happy little bird, soaking in the sunshine and enjoying his fine catch. Is that the way the world is supposed to be? I asked myself this question. Is it really that simple? Could it be? Hmmm. I thought more about the idea: Wake up early, go out in search of the worm before the world wakes up and catch it. Ahhhh, the satisfaction of that juicy worm in my beak. What would that feel like? What does that feel like? To have your day’s work done so quickly. I kinda like that idea. I think I will try it.
